Addressing Gender in Global Health: Can human rights play a useful role going forward?

In the tenth event of the series, we will hear from Commissioner Sofia Gruskin, Director of the USC Institute on Inequalities in Global Health and Professor of Preventive Medicine and chief of the Policy and Global Health division at the USC Keck School of Medicine. Human rights can offer a useful frame to conceptualize and strengthen attention to gender in global health. However serious questions must be raised as to why this hasn’t worked so far, and what it will take for this potential to be realized.
